Do you

Our
headband had a flower that was starting to look a little tired and worn
so we made it new again! This braided ribbon could embellish many things— a
hair clip would be cute too! These headbands would make great handmade gifts
for little girls to make each other!
I
found a large stash of vintage seam binding and love to make ribbon loom
flowers with it. For this project, the blooms are both gift topper and a broach
to wear- a simple and stylish way to embellish a present.
In
addition to vintage, new rayon seam binding is easy to find and comes in a huge
array of colors. To make the flowers I used both a vintage loom {found on Ebay}
and a loom made by Clover. Traditionally, straw or
thinner width ribbon is used with looms, but I like how the seam binding makes
the flowers a bit blousy and full.
There are two ways to make the petal point on flowers, sewing the center points or heat sealing the center points.Heat Seal Center Points & Sewing Center Points.
I discovered this envelope making method completely by accident
when pulling soggy rain-soaked mail out of my leaky mailbox - I had a
total *eureka* moment when the envelope I gingerly opened up completely
unfolded at the seams revealing an envelope "template" perfectly.
Here’s a another simple, fun DIY bracelet
tutorial for you. This was actually my Sunday afternoon project, but it took me
a couple days to compile the pictures. But here it is for you!
I love this DIY ribbon and pearl woven
bracelet for its classic girly look and of course, how easy it do! It works
well as a stand alone bracelet or even stacked with some other bracelets for an
arm party. It’s a very elegant piece, and I think it would look worn at a more
formal event such a wedding!
Loopy Ribbon Flower
So here you have it, the loopy ribbon
flower. They are pretty easy, but oh so cute. Now that I've actually got a
little princess to dress up, I'll be sharing more hair accessory tutorials in
the future. Because dang they are fun to make!
Ribbon Flower Pin
Make this beautiful ribbon flower for
a pin or use it on a card!
Ribbon comes in so many fun and unique colors
and patterns! I love to create, design, and personalize craft projects
and hair bows. Ever look at two ribbons love the designs and wish you could
combine them into one? Actually you can!
Probably the most used of supplies are the foam ball and the glue gun.
If you have them at first place, everything else depends on your
creativity and personal taste. You can just glue any kind of embelishments
such as buttons, lace flowers, newspaper rolls… or just to pin sequins,
paper flowers, pearls, beads and other in the foam ball.
Wow! what a creative idea! With some imagination, you would sure to come up with some different design too.
